Know Thyself

Last updated 27 October 2026

Know Thyself is a place for work that is yours: your biography, your dreams, your observations, the things you make. This page says plainly what we keep, where it lives, who can see it, and how to take it back. It is written to be read, not scrolled past.

Who we are

Know Thyself is made by Tree Media, United States. You can reach us at hello@knowthyselfwork.world.

What we keep

That is the whole list. We do not run analytics, advertising trackers or third-party scripts on the site, and we do not buy or sell data about you.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure in a database and file store that belong only to Know Thyself. It is encrypted in transit and at rest in the ordinary way. It is also kept in your own browser so the app works offline and loads instantly; signing out does not clear that copy, so on a shared computer use a private window.

We can, in principle, read what is stored, because that is what lets us sync it between your devices and recover it for you. We do not read it unless you ask us to help with your account, and no one else is given access.

Who else touches it

Sharing a montage

A montage is private. If you create a share link, anyone who has that link can read that one montage — the text, images and recordings in it, and your first name if you gave one — until you revoke the link in the app. Nothing else of yours is visible through it.

Cookies

One cookie, kt_session, keeps you signed in for ninety days. There are no others.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Sign-in links expire after twenty minutes and are deleted. Purchase records are kept as long as the law requires us to keep accounts.

Taking it back

You can export every montage as a PDF from the app. To delete your account and everything in it — writing, uploads, purchase record, share links — email hello@knowthyselfwork.world from the address you signed in with and we will do it within a few days and confirm. Deletion is complete and cannot be undone, so download what you want to keep first. A delete button inside the app is coming.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California or another place with its own privacy law, the rights those laws give you — to access, correct, export, delete or object — are honoured on the same email address, without charge.

Children

Know Thyself is written for adults and we do not knowingly keep data about anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has made an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and signed-in users are told in the app. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
